Why is productivity important?

I’ve come to learn that productivity is one of the biggest reasons for feeling stagnant in life. Many of us struggle with sticking with specific task/habits long enough to produce meaningful progress. So for today’s newsletter I wanted to give some tips I use for helping with productivity.

Tips

  • Saying “no”. Many people struggle with being productive because they give more time to others needs instead of themselves. Learning to say “no” helps you create healthy boundaries around your goals and free up time so you can focus on doing the things that actually matter to you.

  • Eisenhower matrix. This method is used by grouping your to - do list into different areas of importance so you don’t feel like you have to accomplish everything at once.

  • Seinfield Strategy. This is a visual aid to help keep you accountable, you will have a large planner in your room and write a “X” on the days you completed your new task/habit. The point is to try not to break the chain of consistency.

  • Eat The Frog. Try doing the hardest thing in the beginning of the day so you don’t procrastinate it

  • 2 Minute Rule. If a task can take less than 2 minutes don’t procrastinate it
